Known Story:
#3R4L01, assigned name Heraldi, has no memory of
past events, their memory core was altered and wiped.
They awoke when the android of the party re-activated
them, and awoke them from an artificial slumber. After
being threatened by another party member who was
awoken, and a fourth who could not speak. They traveled
the ship they were on, noticing the steadily rising temper-
ature. Eventually, they reached a room where a group of
people who were... rather aggressive resided, and with
enough... persuasion they escaped in the final escape
pod.
They group landed on an alien planet, and have now
continued to try to recover memories, and discover why
the past actions occurred, and why they all have '5' some-
where on their persons.

Forgotten Backstory:
This is a work in progress...
#3R4L01 is an experimental military grade tank
mecha, the first to test the smaller stature and
compact plans that were meant for easy transport.
#3RL01 was assigned the nickname Heraldi by
their squad mates instead of their designation
number to make it easier for them to communicate
with their squad members.
Heraldi, when in a combat situation was program-
med to automatically position themselves in a
defensive stance, acting as a mobile cover device.
They were given the ability to create a mobile shield
to act as cover, able to absorb and block all forms of
incoming damage. They clank their forearms together,
and the plasma shield is created lacing into itself,
large enough to cover themselves, and a teammate
or two behind them.
When other avenues of defense had failed, and Heraldi’s
shield has been destroyed, their directive swaps from
shielding defense, to aggressive defense- meaning all
threats will be dealt with accordingly. Their arms were
strengthened to not only be able to block incoming damage
and take shots, but to deal damage as well. A single strike
when aimed to the correct spot being all it took for Heraldi
to down an opponent.
Heraldi was also designed with a learning mode, meant to
teach them how to interact accordingly with teammates, and
adjust to the beings around them. It was seen as foolish to
have a talking experimental tank that acted coldly to their
squad, so the self-learning was installed in an attempt to
assist in the process of the team adjusting to the bot. Part
of this learning code was Heraldi’s morality core, which is
meant to serve as the bot’s sensor for what is right and what
is wrong. This is updated based on observations made on the
assigned squad, and based on the actions of their programmer.
In the event that Heraldi’s morality core is damaged or wiped,
They are to be removed from all active duty immediately, at
least until sufficient data is gained so that Heraldi does not act
in negative ways, or has a moral compass that does not point
north- which would be trouble seeing as they are a high tech
robot that was built to never be destroyed.
Once the adjustment process was complete, and trail runs
had all been completed and passed, the squad Heraldi was
part of was sent on mission after mission, and the amount of
enemies killed by, and the blood on Heraldi’s hands, literally,
kept getting worse. The down side of the learning mode, was
a few key factors;
The attachment factor, in which Heraldi would occasi-
onally completely ignore orders if a teammate was in
danger, and instead of following whatever order given,
would attempt to assist a teammate.
The loss factor, in which when a teammate was lost in
battle, Heraldi wouldn’t respond momentarily, as if their
code had run into an exception. On missions ending,
Heraldi would appear confused, unable to understand
where the fallen teammate had gone.
The stress factor. In an attempt to make it easier to re-
late to the living squad members, Heralid learned how
to deal with stress like their squad members- including
all of the bad habits- or the bot’s version of them, which
has led to damage, and partial memory wipes so the ne-
gative habits are not remembered.
The illness factor. In the programmer’s attempts to create
a bot that would relate to living beings, they also gave
Heraldi the ability to have some of the same issues as
Well. Mild PTSD has been seen in the bot between upd-
ates, along with signs that are similar to a human’s ver-
sion of anxiety and depression- all things that are known
to affect soldiers.
These factors are constantly being working on between
updates, in an attempt to remove the negative side effects.
Heraldi was added to a new squad, which included the party
they now find themself with. This squad was then volunteer-
ed for a mission- ERROR- CODE 68349...........................
