History
Born of Onslaught long before he was the powerful leader he is now, one of his first three daughters and Nautica, the long gone Mage of their clan, Chromia was steeped in fire magic since she was in the nest.

Loosing her dam to the Flamecaller at such a young age, the little Fae was raised by her Guardian Sire along with her two Guardian half sisters, Elita and Aqua. Onslaught had been ill-equipped to raise a Fae daughter on his own, especially one he did not understand, and that relied so heavily on magic.

None in their clan had any idea on how to help Chromia tap in and control her powers either; all others having been powerful fighters, who had no idea how to cast even the basic of spells. Some even wanting Onslaught to cast his own kin out, fearing her uncontrolled magic; fearing what they could not understand.

Onslaught loved his daughter enough to try to help her understand what he could not; driving anyone who dared speak ill of his little Fae from his clan. Finding her books and papers for her to study to help improve her natural gift. Encouraging her to not give up, and to hone her ability just as he would any other skill. It was love and support that helped Chormia get through her childhood and adolescences as she struggled to gain control of her powers.

Her two older sisters, Aqua and Elita, were her closest playmates when they were young and remain very close now. Growing in such a small clan, they only had each other as playmates; Chromia teaching them how to read her expressive crests to tell her emotions; they taught her how to detect sarcasm and strong vocal emotion. Chromia may still have a hard time to detect and understand it, but she can do it better them most Fae.

Just like their Sire, Aqua and Elita will protect their little sister from anyone who dared harm her.

Chromia had been afraid that when Sideswipe came into her sire's life, that he would forget her and her powers and the problems that came with them. Sideswipe loved her the moment he met her, encouraging her to study, bringing her back books from every corner of the world, ensuring she had the best education they could provide her.

Magic
Touched by all that her clan had done, encouraging her to continue with her magic, Chromia had never told her Sire that her Dam, Nautica, a powerful mage, would visit her in her dreams to help her understand her powers.

The things Nautica told Chromia frightened her, the depth of her powers over whelming to the young Fae who had no one to turn to for help in the physical plain; fearing to go to Onslaught, as he had been the one who exalted Nautica to the Flamecaller's forges after the tiny mage began to slip into maddness of power. Something Chromia fears deeply will happen to her.

Yet, Nautica helps her daughter understand her powers from the Flamecaller's serves better then she ever could have from their lair, being so close to their deity giving Nautica a sense of clarity that she had long lost, ensuring that Chromia would not suffer her fate.

Chromia wishes she could tell her sire and sisters the things she sees when she dreams and the powers she has and will one day have. She knows they will not understand, no matter how hard they try; they are warriors and killers. They understand how to fight, defend and plot, but spell casting is not their forte. Chromia knows they love and support her, and no matter how powerful she may become, that will not change, and Chromia will protect her clan with all the power and magic she has at her disposal.

Her Not Curse
It was not only magic that Chromia's dam taught her in her dreams, but all about Fae culture and idiosyncrasies. Nautica taught her daughter how to appropriately communicate with her own kind with her crests; lessons her Guardian family would never have been able to teach her.

It was those teachings that allowed her to communicate with the only other Fae that came to stay with her clan; Curse is not like the other Fae's that Chromia had ever met. A Shattered Construct from the realm of the Plaguebringer, the tiny dragon is made of blood and bone, the plague representative to her clan. No matter how powerful he was, Curse was still vulnerable to the world around them, and after getting caught out in the rain, it had been Chromia that had brought him home to the safety of her clan's caves. It was that brief moment of kindness that prompted Curse to stay.

So very different from Curse, Chromia is happy and bubbly, and extremely expressive with her crests. Curse's crests hardly twitch or move, his face an immovable wall; but Chromia saw the side ways glances he cast her. He was as curious of her as she was of him.

Going out of her way to get to know him, Chormia always found time to spend with Curse, slowly becoming one of the few friends he had within their clan, doing normal things with him. They hunted bugs for her to eat across the dry plains of the Ashfall Waste, scouting near by nests and investigating enemy clans. Unlike the others in their clan, Chromia and Curse would quietly mock rival clan members, forming a bond over a mutual dislike of rivals.

It was only after a botched run to the Scarred Wasteland did they truly see what they meant to each other; attacked by water dragons, Curse was dismembered, much to Chormia's horror. It was seeing Curse, her friend, destroyed that awoken some of the most damaging and dangerous magic Chromia has access to; destroying those who destroyed him.

Coming down from her bout of madness, Chormia could only feel for her lost friend, fearing she would never see him again, grieving over his lost life. Going with her sister Aqua and Viscera to the heart of the Scarred Wastland to have him rebuilt, Chromia stayed by his side while Curse gathered his strength, absorbing the natural contaminants of the Plaguebringers realm, growing stronger with each and every infection.

Chromia has yet to leave his side.
