Most of the clan have probably adopted Nightwing into their own family by this point. The boy is cheerful and easy to get along with. He's practically a big brother to all of the youngsters and hatchlings, giving each one a nickname and making time to hang out with them. He himself has earned the moniker of Robin, like the small quick bird of nest rhymes.

That's the thing about Nightwing. He never sits still. The boy loops and twists and, well, spirals everywhere he goes. And while this isn't uncommon behavior for a spiral, his movement always has a grace to it that other spirals tend to lack.

Before Nightwing joined the clan, he was part of a circus. He invested his energy into learning different aerial stunts and continued to practice these tricks even after leaving the troupe. His dedication to acrobatics means that his movements are precise and controlled- well, for a spiral, that is.

But behind that smile lies a dark past that he wants to forget. The raw memory still buried deep into the centre of his mind, rotting away his core. He remembers so vividly the overwhelming ringing in his ears and the crowd in painful silence as he saw a sight no one could keep sane from, but he did.

He vouched that day that he would seek vengeance and the urge to lash out at the cruel, cruel world made him himself bitter with spite. The rage fuelled him and drove him further across a line that slowly ate away at his core, like the memories of his past.

A cold glare but a warm hand and a firm grasp was his lifeline. This pulled him from his own destruction and made him realise the sacrifices he made were worse, so much worse. It angered him but also enlightened him.

He is forever in debt to the one who saved him, but little did he know that the one who needed saving the most, was the saviour.
