Merle

Merle is the wise sage of the clan. He can seem a bit eccentric and primitive at first glance, but his methods have never failed. He's actually very serious and focused, though he's a master of dramatic effect, so it usually seems to be quite the opposite. When predicting someone's future, he likes to put on a bit of a show of it, at the risk of seeming cliched. He can sense auras, which he can use to predict someone's fate, or sometimes to track their location. He's currently training Szeth as an apprentice in the art of aura reading, and thinks that the imperial is making a great effort. He's very proud of him, and always gushes to other dragons about him. Embarrassing Szeth is probably his favorite past time.
