Chapter 1: Sister by the Sea

Grace was born into the realm of Stormcatcher. Given that the egg that contained her was laid in that close proximity to the deity she too was born of his element, that being Lightning. However, neither of Grace's parents were of the Lightning Flight by birth themselves. Instead they were a mated pair or Mirror Dragons. Her mother, Delma, was of the Ice Flight originally while her father, Rhen, was born of the Arcane Flight. Because of this Grace never acted in a way that dragons of the Lightning Flight would be expected to act. Of her parents she was more similar to and subsequently closer with her father, and thus much of her personality came from him. She was something of a dreamer, ambitious but not to the extreme level that Lightning dragons tend to be. She had no interest in engineering. In fact, for a long time, she had no idea what she wanted out of life.

Upon reaching adulthood Grace became more and more adventurous. Her hunts took her further and further afield every day. Eventually she happened upon a pair of older Mirror Dragons, albeit both of the Water Flight; given the breed's inclination towards hunting as a pack and Grace's good manners towards the two they got along very well indeed. After electing to hunt as a trio for the day and enjoying a particularly successful hunt indeed the two older dragons, Sarrah and Prowler, invited her to join them as part of their clan. Grace accepted their offer gladly and stayed with them ever since, remaining especially close with them both; the three still refer to each other as siblings, even though they are not related by blood and even after Grace elected to allow herself to change breed. To quote Sarrah herself, 'You may look different from the day we met, but in my eyes you will always be a true member of our pack.'

Chapter 2: A Love So Strong

As part of her Water Flight clan Grace thoroughly enjoyed her life. She had a great many adventures that would make for entertaining stories that she could pass on to her friends. The time she befriended a Carmine Serthis after combat, for instance; few ever believed that one, but even now Grace will routinely return to the Sandswept Delta in order to meet and elegantly dance with her surprising companion who shares her fondness for music. By far the adventure she thinks most highly of, however, is the chance meeting she had one day within the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. It was there and then that she met someone she would never forget.

On that fateful occasion it was not long after she had become a Spiral Dragon. As much as she enjoyed flying she did not have the greatest aerial stamina at first, as prior to then she'd been a Mirror Dragon and they tend to travel by foot. She had the misfortune of crash-landing within the realm of Shadowbinder after growing tired out in the air. She was found, thankfully, by a kind-natured Imperial named Plague who offered to heal her wounds from the crash. While she was healing up there Grace met Plague's adoptive son, a gluttonous Bogsneak named Charles. Charles took an immediate and very strong liking to her, and Grace was rather quick to fall for Charles's charm. After she had been fully healed by Plague, Grace headed back home but made a habit of returning to their lair and bringing Charles snacks from within her own clan's territory by the Sea of a Thousand Currents. She continued this tradition even after Charles's clan moved to realm of the Plaguebringer. Eventually, given how deeply in love they had both fallen, they chose to become a mated pair.
