Isengrin

Personality Isengrin is scary, and proud of it. She chooses fighting over talking when there's problems, and when the crew has shore leave, Isengrin and Nox can be found starting fights all over the place. Another thing Isengrin really likes, is screaming. Is it just because of screaming itself, or is she angry or maybe even hurt? The crew says it's probably because she feels an emotion. She might be angry, yes, but it could also be happiness, sadness, or it can be because she's hungry or bored. Maybe it's because she just wants to. The yelling has many reasons. When hijacking ships, bloodcurdling screams can be heard from both ships. The enemy screams in terror as Nox enters the ship, and Isengrin screams in excitement. Even though she likes screaming and yelling almost as much as she likes the crew, she has some personalitytraits that are the exact opposite. For example, she's usually quiet. She just doesn't talk all that much (she's an ice dragon after all). Emotions are also quite rare, but when she has them they tend to be strong, so she will yell. She's loyal only to Captain and the crew of the Bronze Archer. She's cruel to her enemies, killing them without second thought. This makes her very valuable to the crew! She's been aboard the Bronze Archer for as long as she can (or wants) to remember and she and Captain are close friends. |

Biography Isengrin didn't have a nice youth. Because she didn't want to be connected to her family in any way, she cut them completely out of her life. She made sure no one could find out anything about her youth, and asked the Icewarden himself to remove her family from her lineage. After telling him the exact reasons why, and promising him to give him many warriors for his army, he removed her lineage. Finally free of the burden that was her family, Isengrin spent a few years training her fighting skills in the coliseum. That is where she met Captain. They had trained together for some weeks when Isengrin had decided to join the crew. Now, when the crew has shore leave, she will go to the coliseum to keep her promise with the Icewarden, She trains dragons for exalting and Captain helps her, for he is still grateful she helped him when she joined him aboard the Bronze Archer. |

Familiar Isengrin and her Bluefin Charger have similar personalities. The Charger, Terror, is very independent and outsiders often think it is a wild Charger that somehow got aboard the ship. Terror is the Bronze Archer's 'guarding dog' and will give his live for the safety of the ship. If the crew is hijacking a ship (or even having shore leave), Terror stays aboard to guard it. No stranger can come aboard, and if they knew how vicious the familiar is that's watching them they would not even dare to come close. When the Bronze Archer is close to the Southern Icefield and the layer of ice on the sea gets too thick for the ship to break through on it's own, Terror will zigzag in front of it to break the ice. He then communicates with Isengrin by short but loud screams, to let her know where he is. It's the only sound he ever makes. |
