Arneus

Arneus wandered unknown to him into the territory of the Haelfury Clan, and started to hunt there for food. It was not unseen and Nefina confronted him about his unhonorable deed. Arneus offered as apology his fresh kill to Nefina and explained to her that he searches for a new home, since his old Clan did not fit his views of life anymore. Nefina accepted and brought him to the Clan Lair.

Of course her mother Takora was furious to drag an outsider into the Clan! He could be a spy or a rouge, trying to steal the hoard of the Queen. But Arneus had nothing of that in mind. In fact Nefina had stolen his heart after all.

After a short display flight, where Arneus had to fight against Nefinas brother and Bodyguard Amaron, which he won, he was accepted into the Clan and is now the partner of Nefina the Princess, and to be Prince of the Clan.

His charge is Vivianne a Fae which was rescued by him and happens to look like a spitting image of his mother.

Arneus joined the clan when it was still small, and most of the life in the clan evolved around hunting, sleeping and protecting the lair and young dragons. He did everything he could to help out, hunting and gathering food, protecting the lair and raising the younger dragons. Life was simple compared to nowadays, but it was good regardless even it was often exhausting.

Over time, every dragon specialised in what they could do best and would be most useful for the clan. As Arneus has a rather approachable character, it was easy for him to herd the hatchlings together and to tolerate their shenanigans with his massive patience. So he raised many dragons which joined at a young age the clan and became their foster parent. Some of older dragons he raised that are still in the clan even call him lovingly "Uncle Arneus" since he had raised them like his own brood, even if they are not related by blood.

Nowadays those chores of him are obsolete, since other clan dragons take care of those duties now, which left him only with the task of being a figurehead next to Nefina. But the older dragons remember what he did in the early days for the clan and are grateful for that.

Arneus gets to enjoy nowadays the title of an aristocrat in the clan, which comes with many privileges, but only a handful of duties attached to it.

Although he could these days sit around all day and just live the life as prince, he is far from lazy. He supports his beloved wife Nefina however he can and rarely leaves her side. He attends with her to gatherings, councils, festivals and diplomatic meetings and backs her up which well thought responses and witty humour which often diffuses heated arguments. Also he is not beyond doing simple tasks for her such as delivering letters, fetching her something or just keep her company and listen to her thoughts.

While he is deeply devoted to her and can see her almost never doing something wrong, he will tell her when she steps out of line and Nefina sincerely appreciates his honest opinions on delicate matters.
