Vune has been a part of the Moon Siren landscape long before the coven was even formed. He has lived in the Tangled Wood most of his life, long ago leaving the Shifting Expanse behind to favor the homeland of his ancestors. Among the shivering shadows and twisting thorns, he is more at home than he ever was in the Stormcatcher's harsh deserts, and he is eternally grateful that he finally made the decision to move.

He is also very pleased that his arrangement with the coven has gone so smoothly. They moved onto his land, not he onto theirs, and whether they know it or not, he has always commanded all aspects of their deal. In exchange for safe passage through the territory and for food and shelter, all Vune has to do is keep an eye out for any signs of trouble. He reports directly to their head priestess with all news, and that's all they expect of him.

It's an ideal way to live. His meals are provided, since he spends most of his day out scouting, and he always has a nest to return to at night, one in no danger of being overrun by rival dragons who might outnumber or overpower Vune with ease. Best of all, he has a direct line to the clan's high priestess, and despite her eccentricities, she is the closest link Vune has ever had to a higher power.

He gives his prayers to the priestess directly, with full faith in her powers. He prays for personal glory, for a life of great riches. Perhaps it is greedy, but perhaps there is a divinity that will make it so.
