Biography

Pinelopi
|| florist || young'un ||
"Flowers are the world's way of smiling."

umwFr9h.gif

Since a young age, Pinelopi has been rather sickly, and even when she grew into an adult she remained slight and frail. She came to Kaiana as a small juvenile, mistaken for little more than a hatchling; she spoke wiser words though, and soon the misunderstanding was cleared. She had been dropped off by those who had hatched her, though they left no notes or explanation of why. She felt blessed that they had put her in such caring hands however, and so she had no complaints, though inside she felt homesick from time to time.

She was taken in by the hotel owner, Blight. She was given her own room at the hotel as well, considering she was too young to make her own home and no one else had the room in their own homes for a new mouth to feed. Enitan, the tavern owner, told her that when it was properly rebuilt, she was welcome to take one of the soon-to-be obsolete rooms upstairs, since they would no longer be in use when the tavern was finished. It took a few months for things to be complete, and by that time she was reluctant to leave the hotel and Blight, who she viewed like a big sister, but she knew the hotel could use all the rooms it could get for visitors, so she accepted Enitan's offer and moved into one of the rooms at the tavern. He had no problems with letting Pinelopi make it her own, as long as she kept it clean; and so, she did.

Soon, the small, cozy room was decorated with flowers, sweet-smelling fungi, and the occasional frog and bird. With so much green in the room, sometimes it was hard to locate Pinelopi--until some of the bright pink flowers moved and a small, white, flaming dove flew by, settling atop said flowers. Thankfully, the small bird's flames would not harm anything they touched, but seemed to nourish plants and animals alike instead.

Despite settling in so well, Pinelopi still had a hard time finding exactly how she fit into the clan, and how she could contribute to it. With so many herbalists and gardeners about, flowers were never short in supply. She loved to draw and paint, but wasn't especially talented with either. Plants and animals were her passion, and just about all she knew; nothing else kept her attention, so she felt that while dragons in her particular talents were in ample supply, she had to at least try.

One day, while passing through the market, it suddenly hit her like a pack of hungry Mirrors--the clan's most notable item was completely missing! Where were the flowers? There were toys, food, trinkets, and more, but not a single dragon at the market was selling flowers. She sought to immediately correct this, and, with the help of a few small animal companions and Haru, the clan's main gardener, she began making all kinds of flowery things to sell at the market. Bouquets, wreaths, crowns, and more were made from the wide array of flowers the clan had to offer, some unique to the clan itself. The few she made sold quickly, and soon, she had her own stand in the market, her intricately-weaved, sweet-smelling flowers brightening up the whole place.
