Sunchaser

When Sunchaser arrived to the Lair by the Sea from Cloudkeeper's clan, he was shocked--shocked!--to discover that their sister clan did not have a formal library. The books and scrolls collected over the years were part of the hoard, not in a separate area, and while they were set off in their own cavern, nothing in that cavern was organized or maintained. Certainly not added to, not systematically. No one repaired any of the books when they tore or their glue flaked off; no one protected delicate pages from the sun, nor recopied scrolls when they began to fade.

His extended clanmates liked books. The situation in their lair constituted a benign neglect. But it was neglect all the same, and coming from the Library Reclaimed Sunchaser was appalled.

He didn't blame them, of course. Unlike Cloudkeeper's clan, the Lair by the Sea did not inhabit a fixed location, but continued to travel. It was much harder to transport and maintain a library when it had to move every few years.

Sunchaser felt he was just the dragon for this challenge. Since no one else was interested, he was also the only dragon for it.
