This is not a story about a Queen or natural born leader, the story begins with an abandoned coatl hatchling. A small, scared coatl had been abandoned on the eastern edge of the Plaguebringer's territory. However a dragon named Thistle and his mate Ink Drop had come across her when they were out on a hunting patrol. Thistle took her in as his own daughter and gave her the name Wolfwings. Thistle was the leader of Clan Kyoshi, a small clan built up by a few dragons. Clan Kyoshi was a clan built on acceptance and hospitality, for it was very common for hatchlings to be abandoned by their parents. Thistle and Inkdrop took in many hatchlings and one of them being a large guardian female named Glimmer. Wolfwings and Glimmer instantly clicked. The two was always train together, since they could not wait to become warriors and hunters for the clan. When Wolfwings finally passed into adulthood, she began to rise to the top. Soon she became the best hunter in the clan and then she was awarded the position of leader of clan patrols. She noticed a wildclaw named Eclipse in the camp. She saw something in him and stated that she would be his mentor. Thus the "dream team" was formed. Wolfwings, Glimmer, and Eclispe led countless patrols into the coliseum. All seemed to be going well until the day of the "huge accident". The day started as any other day. Wolfwings woke up and she made sure to nudge awake Glimmer and Eclipse. They all grabbed some food from the hoard and headed off to battle monsters and chase them away from the clan. Since their patrol had been doing so well, Wolfwings thought that she would take the patrol to an area that they hadn't explored so much into. She thought they could handle anything that came their way. Oh how she was so wrong. The group was suddenly surrounded by Tiger Blood Foo, their eyes glinting as they stalked their prey. The tigers attaked mercilessly and they left each of the dragons to die once they had done their damage. Wolfwings had suffered most of the damage, for she protected her friends when they had passed out from exhaustion. Glimmer and Eclipse tried to drag Wolfwings back to camp, which caused her a great amount of pain. Eclipse stayed by Wolfwings side while Glimmer flew back to get help. By now the clan had significantly grown and they were getting ready to make the clan camp to the abiding boneyard, but Glimmer arrived back in time. They got the clan healer Florenzia, to hurry back to Wolfwings. Florenzia used her healing magic to the peak of her ability, but Wolfwings was left with many deep scars. Some of the clan stronger dragons helped carry her back to Florenzia's healing grove. After the accident the three were traumatized, but Eclipse helped her through it. Just as things seemed to be settling down, Thistle the clan leader snapped. He was so distraught and tired of losing his hatchlings that he stepped down from the leader position and he shunned the Plaguebringer stating, "Mother has taken away all of my children, and I cannot take it anymore!" Soon the other members of the clan looked the Wolfwings for guidance. They made her the leader and she appointed Eclispe as the Deputy and Glimmer as the Leader of the Clan patrols. She went to the Wyrmwound to receive a leader's nymph and she returned as the new leader of Clan Kyoshi. Wolfwings made peace with other neighboring clans and she still joins in the clan patrols. Now we are in the present and only the future holds what comes next. Wolfwings has retired as the leader of Kyoshi and passed the leadership down to her granddaughter Wolfsong. |

Wolfwings, being the leader of a clan, has to stay calm for her people even when times are tough. Wolfwings is generally a peaceful and calm dragon, but she can be very passionate around her mate Eclipse. She has learned to put trust in others and to never doubt her clan. Since she grew up without her real parents, Wolfwings has always been more independent than other dragons. Wolfwings has experienced trauma in her past, but she has learned to live with it and not let it bother her. She isn't one to hold grudges either, hence why she always looks for compromises and answers to problems. "GREAT LEADERS DON'T SET OUT TO BE A LEADER...THEY SET OUT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. The mate of Wolfwings and her deputy is Eclipse. Wolfwings doesn't believe in love at first sight, but she could not keep herself from thinking of or even looking at Eclipse. The two dragons have formed a bond that is unbreakable, despite Glimmer saying her relationship with Wolfwings is deeper.
Who knew a small coatl could have such a big impact on her clan.
