|| Background
Moongarden was hatched in the Sunbeam Ruins, in a small clan close to the Hewn City. He was the son of one of the clan's defenders, a friendly Snapper with a great many children. Moongarden was one of her first, and it quickly became apparent that he inherited her kindly nature— and hadn't inherited her average size. By the time he hit adolescence, it was very clear that he was a titan amongst Snapperkind, and a true example of a gentle giant.
As a youth, Moongarden knew that he wanted to go out and help the world as much as he could, something that deeply pleased his caring mother. Once they both deemed him ready to go off on his own, he said goodbye to his clan and set out, heading for the Windswept Plateau— where, he heard, the hub of Sornieth transport meant that dragons needed assistance all day. Upon his arrival in the Millmeadows, he eagerly offered his services to a messengers' hub, and the overworked establishment happily employed him.
It was during his tenure in the Millmeadows, organizing mail and correspondence, that Moongarden happened to bump into someone very important to him— quite literally, in fact. As a very large dragon, Moongarden often ran into things by accident, and while visiting a quaint café on his break he happened to spill the tea of a Spiral also enjoying a midday meal. This dragon was Ambassador Kanna of Cloudsong, and after apologizing profusely and buying him another meal, Moongarden managed to strike up a conversation with him. This conversation led to another meeting, and another, and before the pair of them knew it they were wed a few years later.
It was due to his husband's influence that Moongarden moved to the Starfall Isles, agreeing to accompany him to the shelter where he now lives. However, at the same time, Moongarden's father (a largely absent but loving figure in his life) had recently moved to Lanternlea Port, and contacted his son to help with the unpacking. Unable to say no, Moongarden made a visit there, and history repeated itself. He quite literally bumped into the Imperial Ariadne in a café where he was picking up lunch, and they got to talking. Before he left to return home, the pair had fallen in love, and after many correspondences with his husband, Moongarden was able to secure an audience between the three of them. Luckily, Kanna ended up charmed by her as well, and they all agreed to marry each other.
But fate would not have Moongarden living with his husband forever. During an outing, he happened to hear of a clan looking for messengers and ambassadors for its new Messengers' Guild, and he had never been one to pass up a chance to assist others. With his spouses' blessing, Moongarden moved to Rara Avis to offer his services.
|| Current
By far the most placid and kindly of the high-energy Messengers' Guild, Moongarden is always a welcome sight in his new home clan. He's a natural ambassador, with a genuinely caring heart that allows him to connect with almost anyone, and a calmness to his countenance that soothes nearly every dragon he meets. Truly, he's a breath of fresh air in every sense of the word.
However, he and everyone else is aware that his time in Rara Avis is not infinite. He loves his husband and wife dearly; he sends them letters weekly at least, and they meet up often. He enjoys his job and likes his coworkers, but his heart belongs to his spouses wholly and completely, and one day they'll all live together. If only they could find a place that suits them better than being apart...

|| Notes
◈ Many dragons are surprised that Moongarden takes care of an aggressive ragepuff as his familiar, but he loves the little bird and thinks she's adorable. He adopted Twigla while in Wind.
◈ He is in his late forties.
◈ His wife Ariadne is actually married to another Imperial, Arkhateon. Due to his curse, Moongarden hasn't met him often, but the two are on friendly terms and are considering becoming romantically involved as well.
◈ Moongarden is somewhat pious to the Lightweaver, and keeps a plushie of her from his hatchling days. It is rather threadbare, but he takes great care to be gentle with it.
◈ Before he wed Kanna, Moongarden had two partners who he hatched eggs with. He was not romantically involved with either; their arrangement was for children only, but he is still friends with both and sends them letters frequently, as well as to his children.
◈ Moongarden's large size is a form of gigantism that he has to keep an eye on to avoid medical problems with. He also closely monitors his opal affliction, which is properly managed at the moment and not threatening his health.
