Having found the clan when he was still a hatchling, it was still a clan and territory trying to pull itself together, leaving any and all freshly born dragons to fend for themselves while also trying to find protection from adults. As he shed his baby scales he decided to try and herd the hatchlings around him and teach them and watch them play. He's a little awkward with kids, but he has the energy to play with them and entertain them, so it's a good deal.

Unfortunately due to the constant harassment of Muto, who forces him to act out in aggressive ways,
Cici will be putting him in a new position that has less chance of imprinting on hatchlings. They're sad to see him go, but it's for the best, he thinks.

After his month in isolation he's been permitted to work under the botanist, Carolina. It leaves him out of the clan enough to not be the center of attention, and the nature around him will give him the peace he needs.

He still spies Muto in the trees, however. It's been stressful for him to work, and even more stressful when she shows her face. It doesn't help that Muto now seeks to bother and make life troublesome for the young coatl as well. It might be time for him to leave, just to keep the coatl safe.
