______ Be true to your Goddess. Be honest to your Goddess. Never betray her, for if you do you will suffer. This is what Zolean was raised by. He was raised by his older brother who to the Clan was the representative of the Shadow flight, an odd flight to some. Only, little did anyone know that he wasn’t loyal to the Shadow Deity. His loyalty belonged to Mother. He belonged to a Cult, and one that isn’t too friendly to weakness. Zolean did his best to be like his brother, a smart, cunning, even slightly evil Pearlcatcher. However, he was more timid, and found it harder to kill if needed. Due to this, he preferred to stay on the sidelines.

______ His brother thankfully didn’t mind too much. The only thing was, if his brother told him to kill, Zolean had to. This bothered the young Pearlcatcher for a little while, leaving him with nightmares of his own brother killing him for being a failure. But they slowly stopped the more he thought about Mother. He praised the Goddess, knowing she’d save them all. This helped him sleep at night, and made it slightly easier to do the more dirty and darker deeds his Cult needed him to do.

______ Zolean soon found that his older sister had been sent off to death by his own brother. Oddly this didn’t bother him. And ironically, that bothered him, how he didn’t care. When he asked his brother, he was told it was Mother. Mother was helping him feel less moral pain. This made Zolean very happy, since his prayers were answered. He soon stopped being as caring. In comparison, he was far nicer than his brother, but compared to others, not as much.

______ Zolean soon joined his brother, no longer afraid of mortal things like death, punishment, and suffering. He is now at a decent role in the Cult, close to his brother in status. He seems emotionless when doing what he needs to do for the sake of the Cult. Zolean can be found praying to Mother, but acting like it’s the Shadowbringer. He, however, isn’t dumb and has yet to be caught. Or even a suspect in the finding of the Cultists.
