Continuum

This is not a dragon. This is an entity, or rather a collection of entities, that has taken the form of a dragon. These entities are both independent of each other and a single being. They have their own thoughts, but share them with the whole. One without the rest will likely not survive long.

This collective is not of this realm. It refuses to say if it is from another world, dimension, or time. It is unknown if it even knows. Yet it knows this form is not it's own. After arriving, or perhaps awakening, it is believed a female Fae was the first thing the collective sensed. Whether it took over her body or merely mimicked her form is another mystery surrounding this being.

Although its origins are not entirely clear, it is believed that the entity arrived here shortly after taking this form. In the areas of small population they initially inhabited, they faced no trouble from unwanted interactions. That didn't stop the curiosity, however, and gossip surrounded this almost dragon. Stories of what it did in its time, mostly spent in a shadowy cave just outside the nearest clan's living areas or among the cacti that dotted the area, began to circulate. Some dragons who claimed to have gotten close to the entity described dark shapes moving underneath its glassy skin. This has led to accusations that the entity is an average Fae who has been possessed by the Shade.

But this is not the case. Continuum learned of her true origins from Hope.Hope arrived not long after Continuum's memories began. When the Guardian payed more attention to her than anyone else ever had, she was curious. Although she never spoke, she listened to him speak and responded by motioning on occasion.

Hope often tried to lure Continuum out of the building. Although she wasn't sure why, Continuum felt some instinct telling her not to trust him. This, however, subsided with time.

Continuum soon learned of her true past from Hope. He grew more comfortable with her and told her that she was an experiment. A weapon created to destroy everything in its path, and she did. He, however Hope was much more polite in his phrasing. Continuum grew to see Hope as a part of her life, partially because he was the only one who knew where she was from.

Continuum always knew that Hope would eventually destroy her. This only increased her surprise when Hope
