Biography

"Hunting is my entire life. The thrill of the hunt, chasing my prey... Oooh, it sends chills down my spine!"

C O R V A L
Corval is in charge of keeping the freezers full of meat. He's an expert hunter and has little trouble bringing down beasts nearly three times his size. As expected for a hunter, he's quick, silent and nimble.

He was born into a farming family. From an early age, he was taught and expected to till fields, pull weeds and harvest crops. He was responsible for maintaining the machinery and keeping the livestock fed every morning.

As he grew older, he began to take over his father's job of butchering and storing the meat when the animals were ready.

However, during a particularly hard winter, there were few surviving crops, and even less feed for the animals. After they exhausted their livestock stores, Corval took up hunting in order to feed the family. It wasn't a pretty beginning; at first, all he could catch was rabbits and mice. Everything else was too quick.

During one of his hunts, he came across an injured Coatl by the name of Kush. He had been ambushed during a raid, and was unable to keep up with his pack. Corval, being the kind soul he was, tried to help the poor dragon. However, Kush knew he was going to die. After hearing of Corval's family troubles, he offered the Wildclaw his bow and quiver, claiming that they'd saved his life on multiple occasions.

Corval gratefully accepted Kush's gift and gave the Coatl a proper burial under a dead pine tree.

Unbeknownst to Corval, the bow was made from unicorn bone and Imperial whisker, and the quiver was made from high-quality Deep-realm Hunter leather, and Kush was a powerful sorcerer known in other territories. The bow itself was enchanted with a spell that he wouldn't know of until later.

Corval found with a bow and arrow to be exciting. He loved the thrill of stalking, firing and chasing. He was always eager to go out, and almost always came back with some form of food. He began to hunt simply to feel that thrill; but he always brought home his kills and the family always used the animal completely.

While hunting, Corval came across a Featherback boar. Knowing the dangers they possessed, he was going to leave it- until it spotted him. It was the mid of rut season, and the male Featherback saw Corval as a threat to his possibility of finding a mate. So naturally, it attacked.

Corval, fearful of the oncoming animal, fired a barrage of arrows at the beast, hoping it would drop. It wasn't until it rammed into him and he felt the pain of ribs breaking that he realized his mistake. The arrows only made it angrier. As it tossed him about, he could only think about his family. They'd starve without him.

Once it'd had its way with him, it left. But Corval was unable to move. With five broken ribs, a broken leg and a shattered wing, he struggled to breathe, and felt his heart shatter at the thought of leaving his family. He finally let the injuries take over.

But he lived. The bow, now realizing its owner was in danger, transformed into a Glowing Globe and went to find someone. It found a nearby traveling pack of Snappers, who eagerly helped Corval to recover.

Years later, his parents finally died of old age. The farm was given to the children. With new technology, the farm thrived and Corval no longer needed to hunt to feed. He left, and began searching for a clan to join. He offered his hunting skills to anyone who needed it. He made a decent living this way.

He was approached by Alma, who asked if he'd join their clan to help feed them. At first, Corval said he only wanted to hunt. So he did. He'd hunt and bring the meat to Wildclaw Manor, where it would be stored. Eventually, they settled on a weekly deal. This went on for nearly for months before he finally joined Wildclaw Manor and became part of the clan.
