The Cryptkeeper: Exalted Records
You enter a rather expansive chamber carved in the shape of a long hallway with various wings extending out to either side. The ceiling of the place is supported by thick, decorative columns carved with archaic lore and images, and many beautiful tapestries hang over the wide walkways in vibrant colors while a seemingly endless runner of crimson with gold edges spans underfoot. The walls are carved stone, or perhaps marble or granite, and filled with endless cubicles for storing the clan's wealth of offerings to the Exalted; each hole is lit with a candle and holds a gilded plaque with both the Exalted's name and an engraving of their visage. Spaced evenly next to each reverent space are aged, golden sconces that hold magical flames; each source of fire burns in rainbow colors, but produces no smoke or heat - only light.
In the very center of the Hall appears to be a massive sarcophagus that has been sealed for some time. Despite its age, the ornately carved surface is freshly painted with bright colors and set with a myriad of precious gemstones and accent materials. Especially predominant upon the sarcophagus are images of wild creatures and a theme of birth, life, age, and death, along with rebirth and renewal. A small area close to where you are standing has a simple inscription that you can make out:
You are not forgotten.
As you examine the beautiful and macabre piece, a pale dragon approaches you in silence. His expression is stony and his movements cool and confident as he inclines his head in greeting. There is a palpable aura of violent potential about him, but he makes no movements to give you alarm. A very visible scar mars most of his throat and your suspicions are confirmed as he produces a book, opening it to the first page and presenting the tome to you. It would appear his old injury has taken away his ability to speak, but the words written on the page offer an explanation.
"Welcome. My name is Rapture and this is Clan Elysia's Crypt. Here you can view the shrines to those dragons that have gone Beyond. Are you looking for something else?
If you are interested in learning more about the dragons of the Clan and their histories then you will want to speak with Hitoya or her mate, Heirian. For my own past, you can talk with my partner - Elation - though she will probably want to tell you her own story, as well."
