Lailyn

History
Lailyn, daughter of a gifted healer, and one of the Warriors of Light, was abandoned as a hatchling. Left to fend for herself in the Southern Icefield, she wandered alone through The Fortress of Ends alone, until she met a group of lost Longnecks. It was then that she received the name Lailyn, meaning "generous spirit." As a hatchling, Lailyn always strove to see the best in people and help them at all costs. She frequently led search parties to locate Longnecks lost in the harsh snowstorms, and even gained the trust of the Dunhoof Centaurs. She became a guardian of the helpless and the weak, and often stood watch over the young of the two beastclans. However, one day the snowstorms were unusually brutal, a member of the Longnecks came to her in a panic, explaining that their young had fallen into the freezing sea. Without hesitation, Lailyn went to rescue the child, despite warnings from the Centaurs that if she entered the sea at the current temperature, there was a chance that she may never return from its waters. Channeling her Guardian roots, she dove beneath the waves to rescue the child, ignoring the icy water sapping the strength from her very bones. She quickly spotted the child, trapped underneath an ice floe. With the last of her strength, she grabbed the child and flew back to the shore, before collapsing. Her friends huddled around her, but could not touch her due to the permafrost starting to accumulate on her body. Helpless, her friends prayed frantically to the Icewarden to spare the life of the dragon that had saved theirs. Lailyn's life force was quickly fleeting, when she heard a voice in her ear granting her a second chance at life. With strength like she had never known before, she rose to her feet as the Warrior of Compassion, protector of the weak and helper of the innocent.
