Biography

Rai is many things; a guardian, warrior and keeper of secrets, but first and foremost he is a guide.

Rai is a sentinel, always present, everlasting. His intelligence comes from the many years he has spent travelling around Sornieth, learning from both failure and success. He holds decades of knowledge and experience in his hands and is just as much a fountain of knowledge as a Snapper. He has preserved through many ages and wars and witnessed the turning points in dragon history.

Everyone sees something different when their eyes gaze at his imposing presence. He is a representation of what is most important to them – their role in the world, love, bonds, the future and much more. He is a kind soul that is there to offer words of encouragement to the souls that have strayed from their true route in life. His words are cryptic and confusing to one’s ears, but always make sense in the future, when you’re looking back and thinking of the past. Rai knows he cannot hold their paws down the road of life.

He has seen what few have and it has aged him in mind if not body. He is patient, only chuckling at the hectic lifestyle of young dragons. His voice is deep and raspy, eyes glinting with love and mischief.

He loves lounging under the sun, soaking in the warmth. He often teases his fellow clanmates by speaking in riddles outside of helping them overcome the obstacles they are facing. Do not be mistaken though, he is a fierce fighter and his skills haven’t deteriorated with time.

Rai calls dragons his “little children”. It’s a nickname filled with fondness and love that no one has the heart (or guts) to stop him from using. But those that have strayed, those he calls “little lost ones”. Rai hates seeing his little children descend down the thorny, tempting path filled with darkness.

Upon a nest’s hatching, Rai approaches the parents and tells them a prophecy for each child. These prophecies are as, if not even more, cryptic as his usual advice, but greatly appreciated.
