  [PLACEHOLDER]He knew he shouldn't have. He knew he wasn't supposed to. But it was so fun. He raised an arm, it raised an arm. A mirror of black. His sister tried, begged him, to stop. But he couldn't. Once he started, he kept going back. To see what it would do. How it would react. What he didn't know was that he was following in the footsteps of the Arcanist himself. But unlike the Arcanist, he didn't have an army of gods behind him when it struck.

It was strong, and relentless. So different from that mirror of smoke that he thought he knew. It clawed at him, scraping and pulling, desperate to get in. But it couldn't. Maybe it was because his mother was a child of the Arcanist himself. Whatever it was, his scales were too strong. He pushed it off, in one final push of pure arcane energy. All of his arcane magic, everything that made him an arcane dragon was gone. It should have killed him. But it didn't. He suspects that the shade infused him with it's own dark magic, turning his eyes a dull, flat black and allowing him to sense when it is near. He covers his eyes, too ashamed to show his lack of an element. Too ashamed of what he has become.
