Most people who meet Hox when he's with Vice assume they're related- it's not hard to see a bit of a resemblance, especially when both greet you with that kind of half sneer/half snarl that's perpetually on their faces. They also have the same stance, the one of a dragon grounding himself for a fight no matter where he's at or what he's doing.

They aren't related of course, anymore than Cassandra and Vice are, and yet he's another of Vice's adopted children. He came as a hatchling from a small plague clan that was just getting it's bearings and was happy to pass off some it's progeny to others. Whether this was their way of ensuring their legacy or they simply had too many mouths to feed, no one really knows or could tell you.

Hox works as an information dealer, occasional scrapper, and dealer of contraband. There's very little he can’t get you, and he generally works as a halfway point between the more illustrious Casino Quarter and the dirt of Can Town. Despite his willingness to make a deal prying something out of Hox that he doesn't want pried is about as much fun as getting Vice to well, do just about anything. He has learned a lot from his adopted father, after all.

Despite his rather crime-inclined mindset, he does have his own set of rules: protect the good people when you can (and said people are very few and far between), learn who to trust, and there's not an amount you can pay him to get him to spill on his family.

Hox relies on Vice when he gets himself in too deep or meets someone he feels he can’t take on his own. His dad does love attempting to bite someone’s face off, after all.
