Alder: No- I can explain

Kian: *in a singsong voice* Alder's wearing a dress! Alder's wearing a dress!

Alder: *Forcefully grabs Kian and squeezes him till he's blue in the face* Listen punk. If you continue to interfere with my ceremonial duties aka insult my outfit I will personally plant the flowers over your grave. Am I understood?

Kian: *squeak-gulps*
Alder, unlike a tree, is not incredibly patient. You get one chance, and that's all you get. Once you get in his bad books, you're not going to be forgotten for a very, very long time. So how did he become so acquainted with nature? Some say he just likes to look at the beauty of the flowers, some say he likes all the wonderful poison you can make with them. Never know where a lil' poison might come in handy amiright? If dragons thought to ask, he would say it's actually a bit of both. See, if you take a beautiful and captivating flower, fill it up with a deadly toxin, it's no knowing how many dragons you can victimise!

Determination has been trying to confiscate all of Alders poisons but he always seems to have some extra supply stored somewhere. Everyone else in the meantime is advised to make sure you prepare your food yourself to prevent food poisoning, literally.
