Biography

Tarquin
TAilfjh.png
8TxYw5U.png He once carried himself with great poise and discipline. No intruder would think twice before submitting to his mighty strength. This was all necessary, guarding over an old and decrepit library that held thousands of ancient books. For many years it was Tarquin's home. While the tomes were written in a long forgotten language, Tarquin took care that no book was left out of place.

Until a great fire occurred and with it, took away his charge. He did all he could to subdue the flames, but it was done in vain. The scorching blaze eventually quelled, leaving the library in ashes and debris. Tarquin wallowed in his sorrow, failing to protect his charge. He came to rest beside a fallen bookshelf when a curious item came across his vision. One book managed to escape unscathed.

Clutching the book in his claws, Tarquin swore to protect this remnant of the library. Hastily putting together a hood to obscure his face as a sign to hide his failure, he set off. A year would pass before he wandered into Arcane territory. Tarquin rested amongst the various pink crystals, not realizing he was near a dragon clan. A dragon patrolling the area discovered him, but made no attempts to attack him. Instead the dragon invited him back to the clan's lair.

Accepting the offer, Tarquin was greeted to a great welcome much to his surprise. Still hiding his face beneath the hood, no one questioned nor asked him to remove it. The clan matriarch soon appeared, already full aware of the Guardian's past. A great decision was handed to Tarquin: become a part of the clan or continue wandering for the remainder of his years. The latter choice, the clan matriarch warned, was one filled with loneliness. As for the former, Tarquin would not be judged for his failure and would instead be accepted by the entire clan.

Tarquin stayed in the lair for a few days before deciding his fate. He chose to remain. The book he held would always be a part of the library, thus finally realizing he was given a second chance.
