Clarice
Mother of Madness
Clarice is a disgraced Guardian, born out of pure light and energy from the Lightweaver herself, and yet stained by the actions of her past. Once a proud creature with a young Guardian hatchling as her charge, a mere child to whom she was wholly dedicated, she now resides at the outer edges of the Ivory Tower's territory in a state of sorrow and righteous anger. She failed to protect her charge. He was cruelly ripped from this world, weak and unable to protect himself, just as she was unable to protect him. Now, unbeknownst to the residents of the Ivory Tower, she is about to usher in an era of covert bloodshed and sorrow that will leave the walls of the Ivory Tower permanently stained.

She has found herself a suitable mate, and with him she will breed. She will only lay a single clutch, and from that clutch, an heir will rise, and she will train him to strike down those who would oppose his birthright as the leader of Clarice's new clan with iron heart and sharpened claws. Never again will she fear the sorrows of a young, defenseless child in her care. Her children will carve their own places in the world, and that place will be carved from flesh, blood, and unfathomable suffering. Every day, she polishes her hardened iron armor, dreaming of the day she will be able to craft similar armor for her heir, and his heir, and all the others that will follow. The reign of madness is about to begin.
