 xxxxxxxSheriff Jody Mills is a middle-aged woman who lives and works in Sioux Falls. She has known Bobby Singer as the town drunk for many years. When her son is resurrected as a zombie, Jody sees him eating his father. The Winchesters step in and kill her son--along with all the other zombies.

xxxxxxxConsequently, she becomes their ally and friend. After Bobby's death, she works with the boys more closely and acts as a hunter. Although, her compassion leads her to adopt a monster or two and rehabilitate them into humanity. She keeps the boys from losing sight of helping people. Both boys have been driven by revenge, blood-lust, and hate for all things that aren't human, and Jody reminds them that even the monsters were humans once.
