H I S T O R Y

Icarus would always keep to himself. He was very reserved, and others never bothered to bother him. Every sunrise and every sunset Icarus would mediate at the clan's main cliffside peak, greyish grass moving in the breeze as the sun moved. Keeping a careful watch at the sky every day. He's one of the first members to have joined the Clan of Waiting. He never talked. On rare occasions he'd speak to the hatchling after they'd ask him questions. Even Hestia and other salesdragons tried to get him buying stuff from them. But no, Icarus would only accept things he received from pure nature, such as food he hunted on his own, after thanking the Flamecaller for the meal offered in this territory. His robes, and garments where created by___ herself. She was one of the only adult dragons Icarus talked to.

Nobody really knows why Icarus stares at the sun unmoving. Expect the hatchlings. But if you'd ask them, they'd tell you that the imperial told them to keep it a secret. Interesting. Icarus hated fighting, and enjoyed others to be soothed of worries and just sit down next to him.

In Greek Mythology, Icarus is the son of the master craftsman Daedalus, the creator of the Labyrinth. Icarus and his father attempt to escape from Crete by means of wings that his father constructed from feathers and wax. Icarus was so intoxicated by the experience of flight that he went higher and higher. As the wax in his wings melted, he tumbled into the sea and drowned. The saying “don't fly too close to the sun” is a reference to Icarus' recklessness and defiance of limitations.
I N T R O D U C T I O N
"He doesn't even talk!" Chikyu scowled, waving a wing in front of Icarus' face. "I can't see his eyes, do you ever wonder what flight he's born?" Bygone questioned. "I bet the Light flight. Just look at his clothing and appearance. Totally Light. A dead giveaway is the fact he watching the stupid sun all day." Chikyu stated.

The imperial didn't say anything he just kept his head facing the sun, sitting at the edge of the cliff. "I dare you to move his sage cover away from his eyes and find out." Bygone challenged the banescale. "What?!" Chikyu's hawk crowed in agreement. "...Oh well, sure." Chikyu slowly moved in front of the imperial. "Hey uh..." He used his talons to move up the cover from his face. "ARHHGH!!" Chikyu, let go of the cover letting it fall back over Icarus's eyes. "What is it?" Bygone asked, shocked at Chikyu's reaction.

"His eyes.... are purple. He's not from the light flight. He's from the shadow flight." Chikyu shakily replied. "Woah, really? That's crazy mysterious!" Bygone gasped. Through all this, Icarus didn't even flinch. "Let's go tell this to everyone!!" Chikyu said, as he and Bygone walked away.

Explore was walking the path to the clift, and eyed Icarus. He trotted forwards."Hi mistah Icarus." he said. "Come sit." the imperial said. And the pearlcatcher hatchling did, clutching his little pearl. And the two of them watched the sun.
