______ Phalaenos was the dancer who recruited Taranis for the Scarlet Bloom, after meeting him at an autumn festival. Taranis was dancing for coins, and the combination of his colorful good looks and graceful-if unskilled- movements made him a good candidate in Phala's eyes. Taranis became one of Phala's understudies, and the two quickly grew close, as both shared the same cutting sense of humor when unobserved by patrons.

______ Over the years Taranis was employed by the Scarlet Bloom, they often performed as a pair. Phala gave Taranis the nickname 'Sparky' due to the small charges of electricity that often ended up collecting on his hair or skin when he was irritated. Taranis, in return, called Phala "Filthy Mouth", as his Plague heritage meant he had to wash and scrub his teeth and gums with astringents thoroughly multiple times a day, or risk spreading dangerous bacteria. Their relationship never made the leap to romantic, but it was one of the most honest connections either of them had at the time.

______ He uses a flashy, high-leaping style of dancing, with numerous twirls and acrobatic manuvers. At the Scarlet Bloom, he would commonly dance across the entire room, jumping from table to bar to table, spreading the violet and blue silks of his costume like blooming flower petals with each movement. As his two-legged form is small and lithe, he can easily balance himself atop of a larger dancer, or twine about their body. He is not skilled in self-defense, although he could potentially bite an attacker as a last-ditch method, and they'd most certainly get a nasty infection.
