A magical genius. His magic itself isn't exceedingly powerful, but he's incredibly creative in the use of it and has come up with spells unheard of before. Katzarl also has the capability of casting multiple spells at once, a feat requiring extraordinary focus at odds with his usual scatterbrained behavior.

Katzarl is blind, the result of one of his magical experiments, so he enchanted his tail piece to be capable of seeing for him. His eyes are yellow, but they constantly have a blue glow around them because of the enchantment that links up the gem to his eyes.

Because of his lack of affiliation with any political parties past or present in Clan Agnidoom, Katzarl has become the unofficial magical advisor to Zweitwo. That being said, Katzarl doesn't know how to simplify his explanations, so usually Zweitwo has to have another magic-user "translate" for Katzarl. Agnidoom University wants to hire Katzarl as a professor, but Katzarl doesn't have the patience to teach what he considers basic magical knowledge to a bunch of dragons who might not even care or be able to keep up with him.
