LadySundae

A Lady of noble birth, the honorable Lady Sundae is an old soul who retired from life in the upper-ranks of the Icewarden's army to open her very own Bed and Breakfast. While her exact age is not known, she is certainly getting up in years, with her eyesight generally poor (her farsightedness gets slightly worse every year), her joints creaky, her footsteps heavy, and her lust for battle entirely snuffed out. She keeps very little ties to her past, only really keeping contact with her grandson, who himself is training to join Dominance just like his mother... not that she pays much attention to either of them. It breaks Sundae's heart, but she can't just force her daughter to call every now and then...

Despite this, the Lady has a very kind temperament, wanting nothing more than to ensure her guests are comfortable and happy. She knows she can't please everyone, but she tries her best either way! Even the Inn itself reflects her strong sense of hospitality, with dedicated spaces for teatime and reading, roaring fireplaces in every room, complimentary hot water bottles, and a very strict tolerance policy- there will be NO discrimination or harassment of any kind at her establishment, and stubborn offenders will be cast out into the snow... but not without proper gear and supplies. She's not that heartless.

While large and bulky, able to pin down many with a single foot, the years of retirement have made Lady Sundae detest violence. If at all possible, she tries to resolve things as peacefully as she can, but she's not against using some force when dealing with hostile or unruly customers, especially if they put others in danger. Her ice and fire magic has lost some potency, mainly being used to help guests and assist in her chores; Some heated water for the laundry, a soothing cold breeze for the chefs during rush hour, a warmed pillow for freezing travelers, mild redirection of the outside blizzards to keep the Inn insulted, things like that. Lady Sundae herself carries resistance to high heat and low chill, as her magic passively protects her.

She owns the best bed 'n breakfast this side of the Snowsquall Tundra, so if you find yourself stuck out in the cold while traveling through Ice territory, be sure to pay her a visit!
