Osprey

Impenetrable daughter of a ferocious and imposing matriarch, Osprey is regarded with respect, treated well, and scrupulously avoided by weaker and shyer clan members. She hails from an allied plague clan that loomed over Wandering Gale as the wind dragons found their footing as a group, and although relations between the clans are currently good, Osprey is discretely kept away from the nesting grounds and young hatchlings, and her gembond watched carefully lest it spread.

Perhaps her mother would appreciate the caution the host clan treats her daughter. As it is, Osprey hardly seems bothered by it; it's a toss up, in fact, whether she even notices it. Most likely she does and simply doesn't care.

She forms an incongruous hunting pack with Hakawai and Basan. Though the two coatls are much smaller than she, and Hakawai is not socially dominant besides, they have fallen efficiently into line as a group. Juniper is glad about this and may in fact have been the guiding claw behind it. If relations ever sour and Osprey places Wandering Gale in jeopardy, her two partners will have the elemental advantage when it comes to taking her in hand.

No one knows what her charge is, or even if she's chosen one. Osprey, who seems content to alternately loom imposingly about, sunbathe with Basan casually using her as a perch, and hunt, certainly isn't telling.
