Mechanic/Inventor

Current

As the only acting mechanic of The Sheep Clan, Barathrum has earned herself a popularity based almost exclusively on dragons jockeying for position on her work list. She is known to pick favorites, and therefore has gained a following of beggars with gifts and jewels to spare, if only to have her fix whatever it is they need fixed. The Sheep Clan has never been a mechanical-based clan, and those that desire it for chemistry or magic are often out of luck. She reveals in the attention, and has been known to be rather egotistical and self-centered, likely partially due to the adoration of her fans.

Barathrum's entry into the Clan was a blessing, and for more reasons than just that. Or, in the eyes of some, a curse.

When described to Mare, the coatl became increasingly agitated, claiming her to be of the eyes that watch her in the depths when her disconnected sight dives into The Sea of a Thousand Currents. Barathrum claimed, and continues to maintain the position that she has never seen Mare before in her life, but the two avoid each other at all costs despite this. They are incredibly distrustful of each other.

Unknowingly, Mare does speak the truth when she screeches of Barathrum's glowing, cyan eyes; sharp, but caring. Barathrum is acting mate of the magic-riddled guardian, Vorago. The few nights when he escapes the claws of his curse, she is there to care and act as a companion for him. He is too weary to question how she knows just when to find him, and happily greets her when he finds her picking sealife from his wing joints and cuddling into his side.

Though Mare loses her vision entirely when Vorago is conscious, she knows Barathrum's eyes from the times she swims alongside the Guardian when he takes his diving trips. Ridgeback's are meant to despise water, but Barathrum is unusually comfortable with it. No one questions this, either, though no one is aware of her connection to Mare except Mare, and ever then, most simply assume the blinded coatl is merely going mad.
