If anyone is truly the mother of the clan, Mina has fulfilled the role admirably. She and Celes have built up a strong fighting team with Winterfly's assistance, but Mina finds plenty of time to help out around the lair and tend to the youngest additions to the clan. Her own children have gone on to other things, but she enjoys the company of any guardian. Renxis, the only one of her hatchlings to not be a guardian, is secretly her favorite, and though she has not accepted him as her charge, she makes sure to speak to him at least once a day. This familiarity can be difficult when she must deal with other Lightning dragons; with the addition of an imperial and a ridgeback, she extended the claw of familiar magic to both of them. She and Celes don't speak much, but they respect each other with a healthy admiration, and a trust that keeps them close in battle.
