"Gold runs in our blood."
Reine is a beautiful dragon, who seems to glow from an inner light, lighting up the world around It. Most of the dragons assume that this light is just an effect from Its unique scales, but the reality is much more complicated. Almost a millennia ago, the Lightweaver decided to create new dragons to help Her with Her duties and Her work. So She pulled light from the rays created by the sun and the stars and She wove the light into new dragons, with glowing, brilliant hides and the beauty of light filtering through the clouds. Unfortunately, these dragons were very unstable and most quickly collapsed into themselves, dissolving back into the light that they were made from. The Lightweaver grieved, but was determined to save the few She had left. So She wove the light in them tighter, strengthening the strands and pouring more of Her own magic into them, hoping beyond hope that it would be enough. And it was. Her remaining spirits were beautiful and elegant and wise and so eager to help their Mother. So She sent them off, scattering them across the lands to spread Her Light and Brilliance and to help them learn. And during those travels, Reine stumbled onto another spirit, one made of life and growth, and from there, a beautiful relationship blossomed...
