Out in the bitter unending cold of the Fortress of Ends lies a clan of beautifully bred dragons, all with exquisite gene combinations, fine clothing, and the most elite breeds. Inkosni hails from that clan, but he didn't enjoy his time there as a hatchling. The wind was unbearable and constant, there was barely anything to eat, and most of irritating of all for the little nocturne, a thick blanket of winter clouds made it impossible for one to be able to see the sky. Inkosni was very curious back then, perhaps even more so than now; his one wish was to see beyond the silver clouds. All he asked was to know what lies beyond them. He constantly begged his older clanmates to take him someplace that he could find out, someplace with a clear sky- but unfortunately, that would be a several week journey, as the lair sat in the southernmost region of the Icewarden's territory. But one day, when Inkosni had grown older, his parents and the clan leaders confronted him. They told him that if he wishes, his best bet is to place himself up for auction at the Auction House. They said that trying to travel without assistance through the cold and surviving would be practically impossible, but the Auction House couriers have newer, quicker, more advanced ways of travel that would be his best option. Thrilled, Inkosni took them up on this offer as quick as lightning and placed himself up for auction. And eventually, while Nova was looking for a mate for Queen for her hatchery, she bought Inkosni, and that was that. The moment that he gazed upon the clear, glittering night sky for the first time is something he'll never forget. |
