Theme
It felt like ages ago since Anivek had last seen her clutch brother, yet his newest visit made the stretch feel longer so. She couldn’t quite put a claw on how Rothgar changed, but he did.

His crooked posture and wide, paranoid eyes were enough to make his younger sister worry. Though she was sure there was more to it than just that. Anivek made a slow motion to point him to a comfortable looking spot on the floor of her and their father’s home.

“It’s been too long, why not stay here a while?” the mirror said finally.

Rothgar had yet to speak as he inched his way to the area he was he was directed to. Once seated, he smiled up at his little sister. Anivek responded with her own meek smile. She made a second attempt.

“How have things been for you? You look a little… shaken up.”

“I have been quite well, I hear that you have been hurt by our father recently.”

Ani lowered her head. Hurt?

“Who’s told you that?”

At her response, the spiral frowned. “Lord Shimrio has.” He then pulls a dagger from inside his glove, angling it so that it caught several glints from the lightweaver’s sun. “I was tasked to kill our father, at first it complexed me on why I had to kill my own flesh and blood. Now though… I know what I must do.” Rothgar sets his free hand on his sister’s shoulder, leaning closer.

“In the name of Yamata-No-Orochi, I will set you free.”
