The third and only female of the nest, Kaleena was born with her mother's affliction. Neither parent thought any of their children would show the rare gene but it seems Kaleena is a rare girl! She has the same curiosity like her brothers but instead of stories or stars she likes to watch her father make his jewelry. She longs to be able to do the same, working delicate materials into works of art. She wonders if the jewel on her paws would allow her such ability.

She hides her doubts in anger if someone pesters her or manages to say something bad. Her tongue is sharp and she's lashed out at any dragon foolish enough to speak ill of her brothers. Though the youngest she is the most fierce and protective. Both her parents wonder where she got this fire from.

SShe struck out as her own pretty fast once she saw the clan's blacksmith bring raw materials to her father. She was awed by the Coatl's hidden strength under her feathers. Kaleena immediately pleaded to become her apprentice. Hestia agreed but she had to shear her fur short. Kaleena agreed and had her fur cut so she was less of a risk in the smithy.

She was to watch Hestia work the first few weeks and did so with avid interest. The way the hammer hit hot metal, the sizzles and hum of the fire behind her made her calm and relaxed. When she was allowed to work she was thrilled and listened to Hestia intently, making her first blade. It was certainly a 'newmans' blade but Kaleena was proud and Moriarty happily decorated the hilt of the blade. But Kaleena does share her father's taste for fine pieces and asked if she can try glass blowing as she's seen amazing work done with glass. Hestia however wasn't well versed in that field and suggested seeing if another dragon might be.
