Benny is a Celtic/Irish retired warrior who prefers to be called by his Celtic name, Callan, meaning "strong in battle." He most of the time keeps to himself, hardly ever talks to anything or anyone. That is unless he is or was to want to make a point across. Times you may see him standing in the dark behind the young dragons as they listen to stories being told by another elder, at times you may even be lucky enough to see him walk closer and stand to the other elder as he shares an experience or one of his amazing war stories.
He doesn't like answering questions unless they interest him, he would only talk to you if you either, like said, have something interesting to talk about, or you really bug him to the point of regret or attention.
Biography
It was all useless boasting. Most of it, anyway. Callan knew that better than most. He certainly knew it better than the children that hung on to the every word of the elder that spoke. The stories were always grounded in truth, but numbers killed and battles won grew over the years. He snorted quietly and shrank back from the scene. It was one he had loved when he was younger: Older dragons telling the hatchlings stories of battle and glory. Glory and battle had become Callan's life, and he wouldn't give it up for anything. But they were butchering the stories. He hovered in the doorway for a brief second, than sighed loudly and turned back around. He grumbled loudly as he shouldered the other elder aside, making sure everyone knew he was only doing this as a duty to keep the real stories alive.
Callan groaned quietly as he sunk onto the ground. A large mug of tea sat nearby, along with a book of poetry. Comforts for him, and oh, he'd earned them. His bones ached, his scars throbbed, his joints creaked. The rain outside made his entire body complain. The healers said it was to be expected at his age, after the injuries he'd suffered. He pulled the tea closed and blew on it. It was perfectly steeped. He smiled as he sipped it, as he pulled his book closed and opened it, and settled in for a night of rest. He'd earned this.
