:: She/Her :: Magic Pan :: I was born with glass bones & paper skin ::
Lafa was born sickly and malformed, and was in constant pain. Altarra, the clan's healer, tried to help her, but could only dull the pain so that Lafa could function, not take it away entirely. Desperate, Lafa turned to Edwal the alchemist for help. Edwal worked with Swittin to build Lafa new skin that covered her exposed flesh and gave her full wings. Within this artificial skin flows soothing herbal remedies that keep the pain at bay.
Lafa is a night owl, spending her time staring at the stars or sitting in her cave, reading ancient tomes by candlelight. Currently a magical novice, she's learning as much as she can so she may one day be a great mage. Her only issues with being active at night is that she doesn't get to talk to as many people as she would like. Thankfully, her best friend Fuaah has no need for sleep, and so can remain active as long as she does, listening happily to the tidbits Lafa shares with her from the tomes she reads. Her pet Torque also needs no sleep, just a sit in The Orb every couple of days to recharge. Her twin sister Maifa, on the other hand, spends all her waking time in the day. This doesn't stop the two of them from having a close relationship.
