B I O G R A P H Y

Harvest had been an oddball since the day she hatched. Her siblings and parents were always accepting, but the others in the clan just couldn’t seem to stand being near her. She grew up without any friends or social acceptance and became a bitter trader, abandoning her clan in hope for a true home. She traveled through many territories selling mostly festive apparel, but came to a stop in a Plague clan. She was treated no differently there, but something made her stay.

There she learned of dark magic, and immediately took to it, a natural, they called her. Those that could tolerate the dark aura that nearly suffocated everyone within ten feet of her. Her bitter rage became her only motivation and fueled her power to an unbelievable level. Her talent grew so large in such a short amount of time, she changed. Her morals twisted and mangled themselves into something unrecognizable, and her body developed the need for an unattainable amount of sustenance in a short time.

Harvest was dying. She became malnourished in days and barely had the strength to walk. Her clan sent few dragons to check up on her, convinced she was going to die. She was convinced as well, until she slept. She dreamed of reaching inside someone, not physically, but another way. A way she couldn’t describe. The hum of energy that connected with something deep inside her, the orb on her forehead resonating. She saw herself pulling it out, the dragon before her suddenly standing stock still, frozen in time. She absorbed it into herself, and the dragon dropped dead at her feet.

She awoke panting, dying of starvation, but no amount of food had helped her. She couldn’t eat quickly enough, her power consumed too much of her. Her door creaked open as another dragon was sent to check on her. She weakly lifted herself and faced them. She knew what she had to do.

B I O G R A P H Y

Harvest is an opportunistic hunter. She never has any ‘targets’, just opportunities, although it is advised you never give her a clear reason to dislike you. She’s not picky about her souls, she’ll eat just about anything. From Fae to Imperial, thief to royalty. She can’t be choosy as a perfect opportunity doesn’t show itself often. Throughout most of the year she is almost constantly hungry and her ribs protrude from her sides, reminding her of her lack of sustenance. The only exception is around Hallow’s Eve.

She blends in perfectly with the other dragons, trying to look ‘spooky’ for the sake of the holiday. Many dragons attempt to strike up a conversation with her, and with her mangled form covered and the voice of an enchantress, she lures them away from the crowds where she can promptly consume their life essence. She never singles anyone out, as all souls provide the same amount of sustenance, and everyone is equally foolish that night.

The bodies start to pile up in mere hours, and she has to constantly find new places to hide them. After her first year winging it, she planned more carefully. She now had over twenty hiding spots and every route perfectly mapped in her head in preparation for that one night every year. It will always be her favorite holiday. While others search for sweets or compliments on their attire, she looks for a meal to last her ‘acquaintance’ a lifetime.
