If you took a survey of who everyone liked best, 10/10 would say Liz. Everyone seemed to like her. She's kind and sweet, but isn’t it a bit strange that NO ONE dislikes her? No matter how much you are loved, there is at least one person that dislikes you. But Liz has none. Not one person hates her. Ask anyone, and she is the sweetest, most kind coatl you will ever meet. But that’s not the true story. She is as everyone says, but she has a darker secret.

They say the kindest people come from the saddest backgrounds. This is no different for Liz. She was born into a higher class family. Her parents and siblings were all the traditional bright colors of coatls. But when Liz hatched, she was immediately shamed by her entire family for her coloring. She was beaten up by her siblings and fellow classmates, and sometimes her parents as well. She was kind and caring for others, but no one returned the favor. She had a hard time making friends, and she almost gave up on trying. Then one day, in a dream, a big golden dragon came down from the sky and covered her wounds in dark blue flowers, telling her that they would help her. When she woke, the flowers were still there. She didn’t know until later that the Lightweaver herself has taken pity on the black and white coatl. Exiting her room, she expected the same harsh “goodmorning” she always received. Instead, her mother warmly welcomed her and offered her some breakfast. Liz was shocked.
“I… I must be still dreaming… this is just a dream…”
“Are you ok sweetie? You seem nervous.”
“I’m fine… mom”
