Born to Arcane, Mentos is among the eldest in Sunset's lair. While he has the Arcanist's blessing of curiosity, it seems that somehow he also has the scholarly qualities of dragons born under the Lightbringer's element. From a young age, Mentos sought the truth. Always reading, always studying, and always wanting to know more. Perhaps it came from a combination of being an Imperial as well as being born Arcane, or maybe it was something to do with the energies in the air at the time. Perhaps even the Arcanist himself was running a sort of experiment that ended in Mentos being as feverish for knowledge as the dragon was, but whatever the case, Mentos wanted to know all he could. When the dragon became older, it was then that he decided to become a diplomat for the Light Flight. With an offer to combine knowledge in tow, Mentos began his journey.
Arriving at the Mirrorlight Promenade, Mentos was greeted with several families and clans belonging to the Lightweaver herself. While sitting with a Pealcatcher, Mentos explained what he was here to do. Seeing how gentle yet knowing the dragon was, several who studied there welcomed him to explore the ruins and become part of a knowledge circle which met there. Delighted, Mentos regularly would make the trips from the Crystalspine Reaches to the Mirrorlight Promenade in order to exchange Arcane findings with Light truths. He believes this to be the only way in order to become truly enlightened, to exchange knowledge in a friendly way in order to learn more about the world he lives in.
Mentos, of course, has a mate. Though despite what one might expect, his mate is not conventional in the slightest. His heart belongs to a male Imperial dragon known as Lando, who currently resides in the Plaugebringer's domain with InfinitySpider's clan. While Mentos has had several children with a Coatl dragon known as Tamela, this is simply a dragon who has agreed to bare children so that the homosexual couple could have offspring to raise as their own. Lando has done the same with a dragon in InfinitySpider's clan, so that the two could father many children who would seek knowledge in all clans.
