Ophanim

Almost completely blind with an unnerving habit of screeching randomly, most members of the clan tend to avoid Ophanim. Despite only being able to see vague black and white shapes, she can tell whenever a dragon is yelling, and is often used for interrogating trespasser. However, it is usually her screeching that terrifies the victim into confessing, not her ability. Obsessed with light, she follows the sun during the day, going to great lengths to rest in it.

During the night, she often sleeps by on her own, creating small orbs of extremely bright light to help her see. She has been forbidden from going near the hatchlings, Tiramisu and Cecelia worried that her lights may blind them.

As she feels abandoned by the Lightweaver, she obsesses over her mother, almost worshiping her as a God. She takes great care to stay away from any pearlcatchers or imperials. However, she does not feel lonely, but proud that she is helping to prevent the forming of an emperor.

Only literate in an odd, ancient language, she etches odd pictures and symbols into rocks after sleeping. While Ivan and Aurelia have tried to decipher the messages, they have had no success.
