R E L A T I O N S H I P S Ikosol & Drizenne - Teammates Friends since he first joined the clan, through thick and thin. The only dragons who can interrupt him mid-experiment and not earn (much of) his ire. Melinoe - Ward Her powers intrigue him, though he cares for her too much to even think of treating it like a normal study. Protective, you might say. Dsembra - Nesting partner Brings out a curiously shy side of him, though it's doubtful she thinks much of him outside of repairs. Cryonyx - "Daughter" A nuisance. Only related as far as the official paperwork is involved. F A M I L I A R S   Farada & Stat Lab assistants, sent directly from the Tempest Spire R E S I D E N C E Snowsquall Tundra An isolated lair/laboratory on the very outskirts of Snowsquall territory, though not too far from the alchemy workshop.

O C C U P A T I O N~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~Scientist Warrior { BATTLETEAM ARCHISTA } Scowling and terse, mane and beard often disheveled and dusted with soot. Gets sour real quick when forced to socialize (the main reason Ikosol and Drizenne don't bother asking him for help with their trainees), but ask him about a scientific topic of interest and it'll take a literal explosion of his experiment to get him to shut up again. Has a habit of leaning suddenly into anyone he is berating, either unaware or uncaring of just how close it brings his scarred, half-closed eye to theirs. (Most likely the latter.) - - - Aeon's primary subject of study is Emperor formation. It's an obsession borne from his earlier days as a budding warrior alongside Ikosol and Drizenne, when they were young and reckless and earned the disdain of their imperial elders by choosing to fight together. Clan Firnice's warrior sector had not yet been established, so they had to essentially train themselves by traveling all across Sornieth and seeking tutors. On those travels, they encountered other members of their kind, who saw their team as an unnecessary risk. Three is the very limit of safety where Emperors are concerned; should all of them fall together - and they would, because that is what a team does - it would take just one more to potentially push them into horrific amalgamation. The trio knew this, but to them the danger didn't outweigh their own dreams of warriorship and aiding their clan. Emperors would always be a risk, no matter what they did, and they had faith and loyalty enough to each other that they were determined to, simply, not fall. The scars they purposely chose to keep are a reminder to them of this determination and the reason why. Still, it preoccupied Aeon all the same, especially in the team's downtime, when the memories of battle wounds and close shaves were free to bother his undistracted mind. Until he finally decided to take his worries into his own hands. He'd been a scientist before he meet Ikosol and Drizenne, and he still had his connections in the Shifting Expanse to aid in a new project; why, he reasoned, shouldn't he put himself to work? Surely there was some way to prevent Emperors from forming, or even just inhibit it until proper measures could be taken. So he dove back into his old habits whenever the team could do with just two, absorbing everything he could on imperial physiology. He still hasn't found his solution (and is, admittedly, a little cranky about the fact), but along the way he's made a number of improvements to his team's status. Their armor, for one - all custom-designed by Aeon (with him insisting on frequent adjustments). Ikosol and Drizenne declare that it's the most comfortable protection they've ever worn. Melinoe's arrival calmed him a great deal, though not enough to halt his research (or his grumpiness) completely. Don't let his temperament fool you - he does love all of his work, in the field or the lab, and if he somehow did find the answer to his questions? He'd probably ask another one, and be happily back where he started. |
