MIKHAEL
the visionary

Priest, counsellor, host (compassionate/older brother)

Open and warmhearted, Mikhael was once a travelling priest who helped anyone he came across before deciding to settle down with Clan Vagabond. Though he once wanted to change the world, he understands now that this is an unrealistic aspiration and instead just tries to help everyone he can. Mikhael spends his current days offering counselling services to fellow clan members and club patrons. He always seems to know just what to say or not say, as well as just what advice to give, though he is also content to just stay silent and sit with someone if that is what they need. Mikhael's aura of safety and calm makes him a popular request for company, though he acts like an older brother to everyone equally and respectfully declines any romantic overtures.

Mikhael likes refreshing food, peaceful fields and mountains, sunrises, and generally enjoying the small things in life. He dislikes sour or bitter food, fiery places, and oath breakers, being someone who takes promises very seriously. Though he may seem like a well-adjusted individual, he has a hidden martyr streak that rears its head in stressful situations. In the past, he broke a promise to a friend and they both ended up getting badly hurt because of it. This same incident is where his scars came from. As a result, he spends almost all of his free time training in battle techniques so he will be able to protect his loved ones next time.

Mikhael gets along well with Moonglow and fellow priests Aurore and Elior. Elior looks up to his ability to ease other's emotional pain. Occasionally, despite Mikhael’s serene and responsible air, he can be found taking part in some silly pranks with clanmates, though he will always help clean up the results afterwards. He is well-liked by the younger clan members in general, though they often lament how snuggling up with a Ridgeback is much more difficult than doing so with, say, a Tundra.

MIKHAEL: From the Hebrew name מִיכָאֵל (Mikha'el) meaning "who is like God?". This is a rhetorical question, implying no person is like God. Michael is one of the seven archangels in Hebrew tradition and the only one identified as an archangel in the Bible. In the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament he is named as a protector of Israel. In the Book of Revelation in the New Testament he is portrayed as the leader of heaven's armies in the war against Satan, and is thus considered the patron saint of soldiers in Christianity.
