Biography
Shade was a very nervous Spiral dragon. Every day he would wake up in knots. Then of course, that would make him more nervous, and he would tie himself up in actual knots that took hours to untangle. Plus, they really hurt. He sighed as he began to undo the fourth knot of the morning. Shade remembered a time when he wasn’t always so nervous.
Back when he was in shadow flight. Shadow had been so much quieter, no like the harsh sound of metal and smoke-smell. Shadow was also full of secrets that could be explored, where Ashfall was…
Wasteland. A big lot of lava wasteland. Not that Shade was ungrateful, he loved his clan. Seafire and Starfang had been nothing but welcoming, and given him kindness to the ten fold. And Shade liked the work in the Forges. The Coatls were nice, even if he couldn’t understand them. They were quiet and spoke in soft murmuring tones. They helped him untangle his knots without complaint or judgement. Shade finished his fourth knot and went to work in the Forges.
“Hello Shade.” said Spark when he arrived. She was a pretty fire red Coatl that spoke both languages. Shade liked her and he knew that she liked him, but the rules were very clear.
No dragons outside of your clan. Not even Coatls that you wanted to run away with and start your own clan.
“Shade! You’ve tangled yourself in knots again!” Spark cried, snapping him out of his reverie. Shade looked at himself. Three large knots across himself, that he must of done while he was thinking.
“Sorry.” he muttered as Spark began to help him.
“It’s ok. I like you, helping you.” she whispered as a Mirror passed them.
“I like you too.” he said. Her eyes widened slightly. They both knew that they could never be together.
“Shade, you know the rules.”
But there was a spark of rebellion in her eyes.
Shade knew that he would stop at nothing to be with her. And by the look in her eyes, she felt the same way.
