Report from the Runecatcher Research Facility: Subject: #8790 Alias: Mimic Status of Runes: Uninvoked Observations & Notes: Subject #8790's powers were — and still are — hard to detect or define. At first, the wide variety of powers she displayed defied expectation, and the duration of time she had these abilities fluctuated dramatically. Both were qualities that we'd not observed before, and with further study were able to clarify. Subject #8790 has no active abilities of her own, but demonstrates a passive ability similar to her father's Subject #7843 [Aether]. Instead of his battery-like abilities, however, she attracts and reflects others' abilities. Put simply, when in the proximity of fellow Runecatchers, Subject #8790 is able to use their abilities as if they were her own. The Runecatcher whose ability she's mirroring seems to suffer no ill effects, though a few have solemnly informed us that they find it rather disconcerting to witness their own wielded by another dragon. Her ability is limited by two main factors: proximity and control. Once she is out of the general range of a fellow Runecatcher, her borrowed abilities taper off and fade away. Sometimes remnants will remain, but this follows no predictable pattern. In addition, she has had no time or experience with these abilities that would help her gain control over them. As a result, her displays are erratic and chaotic, and also follow no predictable pattern. Further study is recommended, especially to see the after-effects of her borrowed powers. Caution is advised when multiple subjects are nearby. 
Raven sought out her role in the Rookery as a way to avoid crossing paths with other Runecatchers. She is uncomfortable with the sudden and unpreventable presence of additional abilities when other Runecatchers are nearby, so she figured a job that is relatively solitary would keep the bombardment mostly at bay.
