Aurel stayed at the inn while his mate, Xiuhtecuhtli, was at the hospital in Midfen to have her eggs. Bixby was kind to him, understanding the worries of the young soon-to-be father. Aurel was grateful, and some months after he left, he sent his child Kantaira to work for her at the inn.

“Bixby runs a little inn on the outskirts of Midfen. She tries to catch tired, weary travelers for a night or two, and let them have a quick rest for a small fee. Her drive behind it isn't for the money, but the stories. Unable to travel far due to her career, she'd rather just hear of a magical journey through Ashfall Waste, at least over being scalded and burned by fire geysers and untamed familiars.”
“Bixby inherited her inn, named The Baku's Head, from her parents. She was born in the inn, was raised in the inn, and will mostly likely die in the inn, and she's perfectly ok with that. She's very good at marketing, and as such, her inn has become the most popular for tourists visiting Midfen. However, she's also not afraid to break the law, and on more than one occasion she has harbored fugitives in her inn.”

Nash was a gift from a passing traveler, and Bixby cherishes him. In fact, Nash is the reason why Bixby has been able to mostly get over her fears of untamed familiars. Mostly. The Bluelight Chipskink doesn't really do much around the inn, other than providing some entertainment for any young dragons that visit. He's pretty playful and easygoing, but can be protective of Bixby and has been known to bite anyone he considers a threat.
