Story
Jade’s mother had always warned her never to enter the shade touched forest. Jade had heard so many stories of dragons who would enter the forest, but never come back. Jade, however, was young and ignorant, so she listened to these stories as if they were only fairy tales. One day, she was playing on the edge of the forest with her best friend, Reece.
“Let’s go in the forest!” Reece dared her, running toward the dark and towering trees with brambles that wrapped around them possessively.
“Wait!” Jade screamed, running after her.
As she entered the forest, everying thing darkened. She began seeing things move in the corner of her eye, and as she continued forward, everything became darker and darker.
“Reece?” She asked, her voice raw with fear, but as she spoke, the brambles began moving toward her. She screamed out in fear as the brambles grabbed her, piercing their sharp thorns into her delicate body. She began crying out, blood dripping onto the forest floor as the brambles began to lift her. They tightened and tightened, until she could no longer breathe. She began, crying, before blacking out completely.
Hours later, she woke up inside of her clan's healer den. She looked down at her body, the thorns were still on her. She tried to take them off, but found that they had become part of her.
She had learned a valuable lesson that day, to not ignore the warning others dragons give you.
