Biography
The Fungus
As you walk through the silent forest, you stare uneasily through the trees. There is no sound whatsoever, and it is unsettling. Suddenly, you hear something big pushing through the thick brush, followed by deep, rasping breaths. Curious but ready to bolt at a moments notice, you follow the sound. As you move closer, the thing bursts through he dull vegetation. You squawk and jump back in fear, but the being just lumbers past you, ignoring your presence. Finally able to see the creature, you can just barely make out the form of an imperial. Most of its body is covered in thick yellow mushroom growths. Mouth hung open, it pants heavily, blinded by the sickly fungal mass sprouting and splitting its face in two. What little flesh you do see is a sickly brown or bruised maroon. It continues its aimless shuffling as if unaware of anything around it. Several of the masses release spores in a noxious yellow cloud and you cough, stumbling back. You give the poor dragon a last sympathetic look as you walk away. You pray to the gods that you haven't just been infected yourself. It would be a fate worse than death.
