The branches of the beautiful canopy above you sway in the breeze, casting dappled shadows and spots of sunlight onto the forest floor. The forest begins to brighten, and you enter a grassy clearing, absent of trees save for a towering, strange-looking one in the center. Curious, you flit over to it, your wings warming in the afternoon sunshine. The strange tree smells heavenly- a delicate bouquet of scents from dozens of different blooms and species. You notice a branch with fragrant, cascading purple blossoms, and another sporting ripe blueberries and tiny white flowers. The great limbs of the tree seem to stretch on for miles from your view on the ground.
You decide to climb the elegant tree, anxious to explore the rest of the varied boughs. You alight upon a branch with leaves you recognize as white poplar, and carefully climb up higher, being sure to avoid crushing any of the various flowers and fruits around you. As you become more enclosed in the fragrant canopy, you see a small, brightly colored tundra. She seems to be tending to a sturdy branch of apple blossoms and vibrant green leaves- it reflects her own coloration. She smiles at you, but returns to her task contentedly.
You perch comfortably for a spell in an impressively large branch that resembles a very yellow Norway maple. The fragrant breeze, soft sway of the beautiful tree, and warm sunlight peeking through the leaves make your eyelids sink heavily. As you sink into a peaceful sleep, you seem to hear a faint lullaby echoing against the boughs. It's familiar, yet strange, as if you heard it in a dream long ago.
When you awaken, you feel more refreshed than you have in a long time. The tree lingers in your thoughts as you go on your way. You wonder what sort of magic can be so healing and peaceful.
